Spanish Through Art for Kids

Welcome to our creative playground where art and language come together! 🌟 In this vibrant, hands-on class, kids will embark on a colorful journey to explore Spanish through art, storytelling, and culture. 🎨🖌️

Each week, students will discover a new artist, tradition, or region from the Spanish-speaking world. Think: the bold figures of Fernando Botero 🇨🇴, the surreal dreamscapes of Salvador Dalí 🇪🇸, the ancient symbols of the Maya 🏺, or the mosaic magic of Gaudí’s Barcelona 🏰.

As we create expressive artworks inspired by these themes, students will:

• 🌈 Learn and use Spanish vocabulary related to colors, emotions, nature, shapes, and materials

• 🧠 Pick up simple conversational Spanish through fun repetition and movement

• 🖼️ Practice talking about their creations in Spanish (“Mi obra tiene una casa roja y un sol grande…”)

• 🌍 Build cultural awareness by connecting art to geography, festivals, music, and food

Each session blends language immersion with creative expression, so learners retain new words effortlessly while enjoying a totally engaging experience. No prior Spanish or art experience needed!

By the end of the session, students will walk away with a mini portfolio of original artworks and the confidence to express themselves in a new language—while having a blast!
