Soorim Ryu

Soorim is a fine artist, illustrator, and educator who earned her BFA from Yeungnam University in South Korea and her MFA from California College of the Arts (CCA) in San Francisco. While her primary practice is rooted in painting and contemporary fine art, she also has professional experience in illustration, product design, and creative branding.

In her classes, Soorim combines painterly techniques with creative problem-solving, helping students explore both artistic expression and design. She encourages imagination, experimentation, and confidence while introducing students to how art can connect with products, storytelling, and personal creative identity.
