2024 SUMMER CAMP SESSION 7

Time: 9:00 am - 2:30 pm

Age: 7 - 12 years old

During this 5 day camp students will learn the art and craft of Manga characters, graffiti , composition and calligraphy.

Students will learn how to draw manga step by step and draw their own page of a manga comic, anime & lots of kawaii projects.

We will cover manga character design piece by piece with eyes, expressions, hair, and clothes. This will includes manga and fictional characters that exaggerate the human form like large - wide eyes, and tiny mouths or mouths that are wide open to express feelings. Then we will learn how to construct our drawings into a page of manga graffiti using screen tones, and creating their own Japanese signature / logo with block printing.

9:00-9:30 am -Arrival / free time / intro

9:30 -10:30 am - Session 1

9:30 -10:15 am -Snack/Mini Recess

10:15-12:00pm -session 2

12:00-1:00pm – Lunch/Recess

1:00-2:00pm – session 3

2:00-2:30pm – Wrap up for home

*There will be collaborative team art projects, active games, storytelling, lunch outside at the local park or under our shaded area, root beer float / ice cream parties and much more!
