VIDEO GAME DESIGN & CREATURE SCULPTING CAMP

Dates: June 17th - 21st

Time: 9:00 am - 2:30 pm

Age: 8 - 12 years old

Come with us on a wonderful adventure through the land of video game development and production. Students will be able to learn about the workflow and steps needed to create their own game, from concept art to the creation of assets in pixel art and finally how to program the game.

Students will create the rules and basic gameplay mechanics for their game, and design their own characters, environments, props, and UI/UX applying design and visual storytelling techniques.

This camp will take your kid from hands on concept design and clay sculpting to a playable game that students will be able to play at home and share with friends and family.

In this camp, your child will learn:

🔺Understand Gameplay Mechanics, rules, and world logic for games

🔺Design pixel art based on their designs

🔺 Learn basic programming concepts, logical thinking, and visual coding

🔺 Learn Character Design techniques, basic shape psychology, and what makes a character unique and interesting.

🔺Design and sculpt their own characters' skins, props, and gear.

🔺Design gadgets, weapons, and tools depending on their game.

🔺Character story and game story development.

🔺Design the map of the game, settings, and environments

🔺 Learn digital illustration as well as different traditional mediums like markers, and acrylics and monster clay among others.

Sample Camp Format

9:00-9:30 am -Arrival / free time / intro

9:30 -10:30 am - Session 1

10:30 -10:45 am -Snack/Mini Recess

10:45-12:00pm -session 2

12:00-1:00pm – Lunch/Recess

1:00-2:00pm – session 3

2:00-2:30pm – Wrap up for home

*There will be collaborative team art projects, active games, storytelling, lunch outside at the local park or under our shaded area, ice cream parties and much more!
