VIDEO GAME DESIGN & CREATURE DESIGN CAMP

Age: 7 - 12 years old

Get ready for the ultimate adventure where creativity meets technology! In this one-of-a-kind camp, kids will step into the shoes of real video game designers and bring their imaginations to life. From brainstorming wild storylines to design amazing characters, they’ll learn the entire process of creating their own video game—and go home with a playable masterpiece!

Here’s what they’ll do:

🌟 Design a World of Their Own: Build incredible game worlds with unique challenges and stunning visuals.

🎨 Design Amazing Characters: From heroes to villains, kids will create their own characters to star in their game.

💻 Learn Real Game Development: Dive into the basics of game engines, coding, and animation to bring their game to life.

🎮 Play & Share: By the end of the camp, kids will have a fully playable game to share with friends and family!

This camp is perfect for aspiring designers, gamers, and creators who dream of crafting their own adventures. It’s all about turning big ideas into something fun, playable, and unforgettable.

In this camp, your child will learn:

-Understand Gameplay Mechanics, rules, and world logic for games

-Design pixel art based on their designs

-Learn basic programming concepts, logical thinking, and visual coding

-Learn Character Design techniques, basic shape psychology, and what makes a character unique and interesting.

-Design their own characters' skins, props, and gear.

-Design gadgets, weapons, and tools depending on their game.

-Character story and game story development.

-Design the map of the game, settings, and environments

-Learn digital illustration as well as different traditional mediums like markers, and acrylics and monster clay among others.

🍦There will be collaborative team art projects, active games, and storytelling throughout the day. Kids will enjoy lunch outside at the local park or under our shaded area. We’ll provide sweet or savory snacks, and on the last day of camp, we’ll celebrate with a fun Swirl ice cream party to wrap up the week 🍦

10:30 -10:45 am -Snack/Mini Recess

10:45-12:00pm -session 2

2:00-2:30pm – Wrap up for home
